Panorama Family Survey
What is the Panorama Survey?
DCPS laid out a vision in A Capital Commitment that every student will feel loved, challenged, and prepared to positively influence society and thrive in life. The Panorama Survey, administered yearly since 2017-18, was developed by DCPS in partnership with Panorama Education to measure progress toward that goal and gather feedback from our community.
Who takes the Panorama Survey?
In the spring, students in grades 3 and up, families of students in all grades, teachers, non-instructional school staff, and Central Office staff all take Panorama surveys.
Please take a few moments to complete the family survey at: bit.ly/dcpsfamily
Make Sure Your Child Is Up-To-Date On Their Required Shots, Including COVID-19!
DC Public Schools works closely with DC Health to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff, and community. District law and regulations require all schools to ensure students are fully immunized to attend school, and we know that childhood immunizations are critical to keeping our community safe.
Now is the time for families to schedule an annual wellness visit with your child’s doctor or attend a neighborhood or school-based vaccine clinic.
New for the 2022-2023 School Year, all students ages 12 and older are required to have the COVID-19 vaccine to attend school.
If you need a COVID-19 vaccine or booster, visit your local COVID Center.
Cooke will host a mobile vaccination clinic on August 10th. Pre-registration is required. Sign-up HERE!

Early Dismissal
Any student needing to leave school before the dismissal time must notify the school main office prior to 2:45 pm. If you do not notify the school, the student will not be dismissed early.
We will not have early dismissal after 2:45 pm. Please remember that instruction takes place until the end of each school day. Picking up your child early will cause them to miss instruction. Please make every attempt to make appointments after school.
Late Pickups
Dismissal is promptly at 3:15 pm. Please make every effort to pickup your child on time. We will give a 10-minute grace period. Students that are not picked up by 3:30 will be brought to the office to wait. Students that are picked up late must be reported to Child Protective Services.
